Sustainment Engineer
My Client, A leading Aviation company based in Cheltenham is urgently seeking an experienced Sustainment Engineer to join their team for a minimum of 6 months.
Working within the Sustainment Engineering team, the Test Systems Support Engineer provides through-life expertise and support for those test systems used in the manufacture of aviation products and components. They are responsible for the resolution of engineering, process, and test issues maximising production yield in order to satisfy the needs of our customers.
Fault Finding of MRB Failing Modules, repair of customer returns units and FRACAS activity to identify trends and RCCA to prevent reoccurence of failure modes is an essential part of this role.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Qualification to degree level in an electronic/electrical discipline, or equivalent experience
- Technical knowledge of Test Systems hardware and software
- Experience/knowledge of electrical and electronics hardware and software design and support activities
- Experience of working in a similar role and environment, not limited to aerospace
Desired Characteristics
- Labwindows CVI/Pascal/Scripting language programming experience
- C/C++ programming experience of developing software which interfaces with Test Equipment hardware
- Proactive self-starter
- Good problem solving skills
- Planning and task management skills
- Good communication skills
