Description

My client, a leading automotive manufacturer based in Gaydon, Warwickshire, is looking to recruit a Requirements Engineer for their Chassis Engineering division on a long term contract basis.

Pay Rate: £19.99 per hour Ltd

Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire

Position: Requirements Engineer

Position Description:

The engineer in this role will be responsible for maintaining and updating existing standards, procedures and design rules and delivering new documents into the company's control system and ensure that they are cascaded in the appropriate way. This will in part require Interfacing with key stakeholders within Brakes design and attribute teams. Key Responsibilities; write up and gain approval for new requirements and procedures and publish these on internal systems. Create appropriate cascades for new requirements using internal systems. Align requirements to a systems engineering approach with Brakes Design. Support Forward Model Quality plans through FMQ AIMS resolution particularly where this relates to requirements and standards.

Skills Required:

Broad Knowledge of automotive braking systems and their application Ability to write clear concise and robust descriptions and instructions using unambiguous English language engineering terms Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to confidently network with team members and present needs and requirements to senior management.

Experience Required:

Comprehensive ability to work with MS Office applications and manage large numbers of records in different formats. Industrial experience. Ability to work in fast paced environment.

Experience Preferred:

Experience in a mechanical design or standards authoring role. IBM DOORS requirements management system. Systems Engineering covered as a module on an engineering degree programme. Knowledge of system Engineering and DFMEAS's and other quality tools. An understanding of related Chassis systems, such as suspension structures. Knowledge of product development processes. Knowledge of RMDV2, eFDVS Requirements management processes. Full UK driving licence for Cat B vehicles.

Education Required:

Degree, preferably in a mechanical or automotive engineering discipline.

Additional Information:

The role is based at Gaydon. The role may require travel to test locations in the UK and over seas.
