I am currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist manufacturer for a experienced electrical design engineer to join their team.Requirements:
The successful Design Engineer will be responsible for electrical hardware design. This will include machine main power distribution, configuration power distribution, configuration of servo drives, low voltage distribution, PLC input/output design , Safety PLC design and BOM This position requires someone who can hit the ground running and who can quickly build relations with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
- Electrical design of the machine - cabling, connectors, circuit breakers
- Power distribution calculations - voltage up to 480v
- Electrical calculations to size cabling
- Schematics using AutoCAD 2002
- Working on several projects
- May be involved in some aspects of the installation
The ideal candidate will:
- Have electrical detailing experience
- Experience using AutoCAD and preferably E-Plan
- HNC/HND in Electrical engineering with some practical electrical knowledge
- Ability to work on various bespoke projects
- Have excellent communication skills
- Ability to communicate on a level with shop floor staff and engineering senior staff
