RF Development Engineer - Plymouth - 3 to 6 Months - IoT, RF, WiFi, ZigbeeRF Development Engineer is required to work with a key client of ours based in Plymouth. The role shall encompass the upgrade of existing products as well as design of new products.
Type - Contract (3 to 6 months) Location - Plymouth Rates - £TBC per hour Start Date - September 2015

Role Responsibilities:
Introduction of Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities to product lines
Product and system enhancement with other IoT technologies, e.g. security, smart meters, occupancy detection
RF interoperability using 868MHz ISM; 2.4GHz and 5GHz wifi, Zigbee, Bluetooth etc.
To advise on IoT connectivity strategies
Market research into technology enhancements for existing and new products
Support engineering disciplines during design and development of new products including design reviews
To support Sales & Marketing, Purchasing, Operations and Quality teams, in the development of new enquiries
The key requirements for this position are:
Personal interest in IoT and new technologies
Good understanding of RF design and communication principals/protocols
Electrical/Electronic Engineering Degree, or equivalent
Excellent leadership and ability to liaise / communicate with the business
