MySQL DBA

Description

My East Midlands based client is currently recruiting for a MySQL DBA for an initial 6 month contract

Due to the increase of sales, the data has become too large for my clients servers and they are expanding the server system which they require a technical consultant to oversee the transition and period of growth.

Essentially they are going to be changing their architecture for their WebNet service which replicates data between several database servers. This is going to require support for their existing system as well as providing technical contributions during the migration.

The main aspect of this project is heavily based around replication
An overview of requirements below:

ESSENTIAL

- Knowledge of multithreaded master/master replication and example of previous project resolving issues with

- MySQL maintenance and tuning

- Extensive experience with replication!

DESIRABLE

- Experience with private cloud VM systems

- Hypervisor ESXI setup and maintenance VMWare/LVM

- SAN commissioning
