Description

Sub-System Verification and Validation Engineer required to contribute to the development and delivery of a Command & Control (C2) sub-systems through the execution of Verification and Validation activities.

Typical activities will include:
Capture and deliver the proving evidence against the C2 design and requirements, to enable the appropriate evidence flow down to C2 design and system teams.
Establish the Verification Owner and Verification Method for each Software, Algorithm, Hardware and Human Computer Interface (HCI) Proving Object (PO).
Work with the C2 V&V counterpart implement approaches to common tasking.
Support the C2 sub-system Integration activities (Integration Points) both as part of the sub-system development and the System interface de-risking and qualification.
Use of DOORS for DVP and RVM population and change management in response to System team inputs and User feedback.
Understand both C2 physical & software interfaces and how they relate to the C2 Development test bed, to enable the accurate simulation of the interfacing sub-systems.
Interfacing with Hardware and Software teams and Donor projects to ensure evidence re-use assumptions are maintained and the evidence is available in the agreed timescales.
Review and comment on Technical Requirement Specification (TRS) to Sub-System SRS traceability to ensure compliance statements can be created.

The successful candidate will have the below skills:
Sound understanding of System Engineering Process (including System and Sub-System Specification, System Test and Integration).
Experience in tools for Requirements Capture and Control (DOORS).
Experience in engineering product delivery.
Experience of technical problem solving.
Trade Off analysis and solution generation.
Good project and risk management skills and knowledge.
Excellent 'can do' attitude and pro-active behaviours.
Understanding of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) using SysML, desirable, preferably using Rhapsody.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a security vetting procedure.
