Description

We are looking for a Software Engineer who will be joining our team of about 10 Python specialists. You will join the Engineering team, where you will work on building new features and functionalities to improve our ticketing platform using a highly optimized and efficient SCRUM process. Every engineer enjoys a lot of freedom, and can steer the direction of development in the direction that he/she finds important. You will work on (amongst other things) data gathering and visualization, performance optimization, ticketing features, asynchronous task processing, and our state of the art REST API.

Requirements

- You have a few years of programming experience in a modern programming language. This is not necessarily professional experience; open source projects, personal projects and part time jobs also count.
- Experience with Python is a big plus. The same goes for experience with Django, Flask, MySQL, SqlAlchemy or AngularJS.
- You are a good communicator, and easy to talk with. You have a positive and constructive attitude.
- You are familiar with the basics of computer science theory, and have at least some knowledge about algorithms and data structures ready in your mind.
- You have good English communication skills. Dutch isn't a requirement (you'll be fine in the Netherlands without it).
- You care, and are passionate about what you do.

About the Company

Our platform is used globally however, from Brazil to Singapore. Our speciality is high speed ticketing, where thousands of tickets are sold as fast as we can manage. The system is however also very well suited for regular sales, and we are currently developing a REST API, allowing third parties to develop their own products using our basic components as building blocks. Next to a ticketing company we are however very much a technical company. We have regular tech talks, in which developers give talks about any kind of technical subject related to software. We do a lot of open source work to give back to the community, and like to write about it as well. We sponsor and help organise the Python conference PyGrunn, both the yearly and the monthly edition. And the table tennis table, Wii and standing desks make sure we also stay in shape physically. More or less, at least.
