Clients are at the heart of our business, and our business development team partners with our legal teams to support our clients and enable the firm’s success. Business development assists the fee earners in our practice areas, to ensure we deliver exceptional service to every client. The team supports our relationships with clients and explores new avenues through which we can assist them. The team also guides our people in building their public profiles, writing articles and commenting in the media where appropriate.

We have a new 6 month fixed term contract opportunity in our Brand & Marketing team for a Drupal Technical Lead to primarily support our Head of Brand & Marketing and our global web teams as we transition our online portfolio to a Drupal driven environment.

On a daily basis, this role will see you working with Acquia (hosting and support provider), our Web Technologies Manager, our web team and relevant agencies to keep our Drupal sites up to date including dealing with issues identification, bug fixes and enhancements. You will also work with our Head of Branding & Marketing, Digital Project Coordinator and relevant agencies to manage the development, testing and deployment of relevant Drupal products including creating test plans and scripts.

Your other responsibilities will include:

- Planning, scoping and working with vendors, Digital Project Coordinator and Acquia Technical Account Manager to develop functional and technical specification documentation;
- Providing strategic advice on digital product designs as required;
- Working with Web Technologies Manager and Acquia to manage monthly security patches, penetration testing and load testing when required;
- Working closely with Senior Marketing Executive to manage transitions from Sitecore to Drupal and develop new projects as required;
- Training the London and Melbourne Web team on Drupal to become Drupal experts and providing technical support as required; and
- Driving Quality Assurance of all our Drupal products, including: Using Drupal to problem solve streamlined content production blockers.

To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with excellent communication and relationship building skills. You will also have strong project management skills and:

- A minimum of 6 years of experience in web development;
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with leading development on projects;
- Knowledge of web application security considerations (preferred);
- 4 or more years of professional experience with Drupal 7;
- Extensive experience of Views, Panels, Workbench Moderation and the Entity system;
- A strong understanding of HTML 5, CSS 3 and responsive design;
- Experience of code workflow using Git and Dev/Stage/Prod environments;
- Experience of using OSX as your local development environment;
- Expertise in Drupal Internationalisation (i18n) will be highly valued;
- While you are not expected to be a PHP developer but the ability to work solve simple problems in code would be advantageous;
- Contributors to the Drupal community are preferable; and
- A strong understanding of Drupal caching and experience with implementing Drupal in the Acquia environment would be advantageous.
