Uniface/Sybase Engineer
A great opportunity for the right Uniface/Sybase Engineer to work for an amazing company in a beautiful location. This is for a contract duration of 3-6 months with extensions available.
The right Uniface/Sybase Engineer will be responsible for the following tasks;
Tasks and responsibilities
- Creation of user stories of changes/extensions to existing systems, ranging from technical design and complex functional changes.
- Advises as appropriate during the design stage (im) possibilities from the systems and the production;
- The development and implementation of (complex) programs and guiding others here, by translating design to program the (automatic) testing programs or parts thereof and monitoring the use of standards;
- Activities that focus on the proactive and reactive improve the quality of the applications, processes and knowledge of colleagues;
- The formulation and maintenance of the software architecture within its own domain.
- Proactively monitor changes being implemented within the architecture frameworks;
- Putting forward proposals for improvement with regard to systems and procedures, assessing reviews, (to) composing test setups and participation in the implementation of technical and functional testing. Transferring project deliverables to the line organization;
- The preparation of reports to the scrum master.
The Uniface/Sybase Engineer should ideally have the following experience;
- HBO level, direction Informatics;
- Knowledge of Stater development environments and methodologies;
- Thorough knowledge of systems used in the organization;
- Knowledge of mortgage business (processes)
- ITIL, Prince II, AGILE/SCRUM methodology;
- Develop Languages: Uniface (required), SQL (required), C (a plus), Java (optional), C # .NET (optional);
- Databases: Sybase (required), SQL Server (optional);
- Development tools: Uniface 9 (required), Spring Tool Suite (optional), Microsoft Visual Studio (optional).
- PowerShell knowledge is an advantage.
