Description
Infrastructure Architect - Brussels - Freelance.Main Responsibilities:
•Provide expert knowledge to the Enterprise Architecture team
•Translating the Enterprise Architecture models in standard infrastructure components
•Help define infrastructure standards
•Validation of new applications and adapt to the defined standards
•Documentation and maintenance regarding the infrastructure landscape
•Defining services and service levels that are purchased from external suppliers
•Validating infrastructure proposals from external suppliers according to specified requirements and standards defined
•Providing infrastructure expertise to the business and application projects
•Project management for infrastructure services to be delivered within a business or application project (SPOC for the overall project manager)
•Alignment with other team leads within infrastructure in respect of the allocation of project resources
•Delivery of structured input to the Delivery Management Office
Specific knowledge:
•Master's degree or equivalent experience
•Minimum 5 years experience in a similar position
•Broad general ICT infrastructure knowledge with specialist knowledge in one of the following areas:
•Server and storage hardware (HP, IBM, ...)
•Server environments (SAP and non-SAP systems) with different operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux ...) and associated high-availability / fault tolerant solutions
•Servers and storage virtualization (VMWare, ...)
•Database management (MS-SQL, Oracle)
•Data communication (WAN, LAN, WLAN, DMZ, ...)
•Voice communication (PABX, Call centers, ...)
•Security: AD, antivirus management, patch management, firewall, data leakage solutions, VPN, intrusion detection, A & P testing, ... (Ethical Hacking Specialist, Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
•End-point management (software distribution, patch management, asset management, ...)
•Collaboration environments (mail, presence management, conferencing phone ...)
•Infrastructure management solutions (Tivoli, HPOV, Microsoft ...)
•Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery techniques
•Experience with service management (ITIL based)
•Extensive experience in project management
•Basic Financial Management
•Experience within a public company is a plus
•English and Dutch/French.
