Description
Our direct Fortune 500 client in Mayfield Village, OH is looking for two senior-level Mainframe programmers. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of six years of demonstrated success including analysing requirements for software programs; writing or modifying code for complex programs, components, or applications; performing development (unit) testing; creating and maintaining documentation; and researching complex technical problems and recommending solutions. The main focus will be on database integration, DB2 table updates, and CICS/MQ integrations; however, Cobol and other programming will be required.Required:
- 5+ years Cobol, CICS, JCL, and DB2 experience
- Must have at least 5-7 years of related work experience designing/developing, programming, and supporting software programs/applications in Client Server or Mainframe environments. This experience should reflect a strong working knowledge of software applications, software development life cycle, and computer code/programming languages.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to find successful resolutions for moderate to complex issues, escalating those that require management involvement, when necessary.
- Must be able to work under general supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
