DevOps Engineer - Linux - Data Centre Deployment - Chef - Puppet - Python - Bash - Ruby - Scripting - Puppet - Agile -TDD
Our world renowned Broadcast Client is seeking a DevOps Engineer who has experience in deploying large scale products/applications to focus on the delivery and distribution of media content. This role is looking for a candidate who is more "dev" than "ops" focused
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpretation of product and project requirements and translation of these into solutions that can be implemented by the development teams
- Working with the business and technical stakeholders in order to understand functional and technology requirements and constraints, and to reflect this in an infrastructure solution
Key skills and experience:
- Have experience in leading strategies, concepts, development, mentor fellow developers - This candidate needs to be senior in that sense NOT in leading a team
- Experience in liaising with Stakeholders, external suppliers, 3rd party software vendors for product management and issue resolution
- Needs to have experience in on premises, data-centre deployment
- Scripting experience in Unix/Linux Shell, Python and/or Ruby and Bash
- Experience in on premises, data centre deployment as well as Cloud based with AWS
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Puppet or Chef
