Description
x2 Senior Service Desk Engineer are urgently needed to be part of a market leading company based in Gloucester.The initial 3 Month contract will be paying between £170 to £230 per day dependant on experience.
Main responsibilities include:

Provide consultancy services for projects for the development team. -
Provision support for the Operations team and the production facilities. -
Provide technical support to our users via the support desk. -
Ensure all support/service request issues are logged correctly on the support desk system. -
Monitor and maintain network and server performance levels. -
Maintain and monitor daily backup systems
It is highly essential to have the following skills and experience:
- Working knowledge of VMWare
-
MS Office versions, including Outlook email client. -
SQL Server -
Windows Server -
Cisco CCNA/P with IPT experience. -
Experience of supporting geographically dispersed networks. -
Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting (PC's, laptops, printers, etc). -
Windows installation, deployment, migration and upgrades. -
Good listening and communication skills. -
A full driving licence -
Juniper Firewalls
To be a highly desired applicant, the following skills are experience to have are:

Knowledge of Microsoft WSUS technologies. -
Knowledge of Sophos Anti-Virus -
Experience of a manufacturing environment. -
MCSA/MCSE -
MS Exchange Server 2010 and Outlook Client. -
Active Directory - Group Policy, Software Distribution, Desktop lockdown. -
Strong skills in Cisco IOS and Router/Switch configuration -
LAN/WAN technologies TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, PPP/PPTP, MPLS, VPN
