Description
The Websites Team is responsible for the development and support of our client’s sites. We represent the main delivery channel of our clients' products, including Casino, Poker and Sports betting and support all Desktop, Tablet and Mobile in a responsive manner.
The Websites Team is the key integration point for the aforementioned products plus our core backend platform and, as such, most of our initiatives spread across multiple teams in the organization, being a high interactive group expected to react fast to everyone’s needs.
About the Role:
The role of the Drupal PHP Developer is to implement high availability web applications using web-based frameworks. You will be an expert in your field operating within an agile, clean code development environment, maximizing the use of the latest cutting edge technologies, techniques and tools.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain high quality web applications using PHP, Javascript, HTML & CSS.
Design and develop new functionality for existing web applications.
Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with other teams and get in touch with the latest technologies (Java RESTful web services, Ajax…).
Work closely with product managers, designers, front-end developers and quality analysts in a highly collaborative environment.
And anything else that is thrown on your desk!
Requirements:
3 - 5 years of proven experience developing enterprise web applications with PHP.
In-depth experience of using Drupal to build Dynamic Websites.
Excellent knowledge of Drupal API and themes.
Competent in JavaScript and the use of JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, AngularJS).
Hands on production experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS or similar frameworks.
Knowledge of relational databases and MySQL.
Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, Apache, Varnish) and familiarity with Unix/Linux.
Good understanding of PHP and Apache deployments/configuration.
Prefer working with an agile development process.
Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance with a demonstrated ability to debug applications through the full application stack.
University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Must be proficient in English.
Highly Desirable:
Knowledge of Caching Technologies like Memcache or Varnish.
