Description
IPS Group, Inc. is looking for a web developer to work on a contract basis. You will be assisting the Creative Manager in researching and implementing Wordpress plugins, SEO, Google Analytics, and other optimization efforts. Knowledge of internal Wiki pages is a plus. This is a remote position, you must be able to communicate clearly through email or phone.
Responsibilities:
SEO
Research and implement wordpress plugins to help track analytics as well as populate news stories.
Ensure Google Analytics are configured to give a wide range of marketing data.
Follow the Brand Guidelines to ensure that all new features adhere to the style and voice of the brand.
Research best practice for web trends.
Develop digital newsletter based on supplied design.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
Fluency in HTML/CSS, ability to create code that is standards-compliant.
WordPress experience, including an understanding of the API and ability to handle installation, backups, customization, etc.
Familiarity with responsive design.
Ability to troubleshoot and quickly learn new software.
Ability to work efficiently on simultaneous projects and manage time within a fast-paced environment.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people in a patient and friendly manner.
Comfortable working with Macs and PCs.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in web development or three (3) years related professional experience.
