SQL Development, DBA, London, Banking, ContractA SQL Server development DBA is required by a well-established financial services client of mine based in London. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenging project working within a strong data warehousing team. This team supports various project teams and is currently looking after the company's data centre migration.
As the SQL Development DBA you will be required to move the servers across to the new data centre and set them up as well as work with the team to help on their data warehouse build. You will be performance tuning SQL Server along with monitoring databases for errors and resolve these where necessary. You will also ensure that the SQL database environments are regularly maintained and always running at optimum performance levels. Previous experience in data centre migrations would be ideal for this role.
This is a contract position for a 3 months initially with day rates up to £400pd.
Essential Skills:
SQL development DBA experience with migrations of servers
MS SQL Server 2005, 2008 and 2012
Experienced within data warehousing development projects
Good understanding of data centre migrations
Banking background would be ideal for this role
