Structural Design Engineer (Building Structures)

£35ph - Full time contract position
Position for a senior structural engineer to take up a lead position on a project where you will oversee the structural design work on a short term assignment at one of the most renowned UK design consultancy.
This is an ideal role for a senior structural engineer with experience of common analysis software such as ROBOT and TEDDS.
The ideal applicant for the role:
.Senior Structural Engineer
.Experience of AutoCAD, Revit, CSC Fastrak, TEDDS, ROBOT, ETABS and SAFE preferred although not essential
. Solid foundation of experience of structural design engineering, ideally working with significant structures.
. Graduate or full member of professional institution, working towards professional registration/'chartered status' with the
. Experience using common analysis software (including or similar to CSC Fastrak, TEDDS, ROBOT, ETABS and SAFE) and willingness to quickly learn to use new analysis packages as required.
The Job:
.Full time contract position

.Undertake detailed engineering design working primarily on local commissions
.Preparing technical schedules, reports, designs and sketches at a variety of project workstages
.Plan and help manage CAD documentation and BIM models of design work, by working closely with internal teams
.Represent the consultancy at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers
.Ensuring service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget, developing a commercial awareness and beginning to manage financial aspects of projects
,Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met, consulting with internal and external mentors and stakeholders where appropriate
