Description
Our prestigious automotive client is seeking a skilled CAD Engineer able to resolve difficult 3D packaging challenges and propose creative solutions to join their Chassis Team. The engineer must have a sound basic engineering capability with an awareness of material properties and manufacturing processes. The engineer must be able to work cooperatively with other CAD users, integration teams and suppliers. The engineer will be expected to provide summary presentation material to illustrate issues and proposed solutions. The engineer will also be expected to provide complete component drawings as required.
Required Skills:
- Catia 5 user (and willing to train for Catia 6)
- Generating creative solutions for 3D packaging challenges
- Good basic engineering skills with awareness of materials properties and manufacturing processes
- Catia 5 user (and willing to train for Catia 6).
- Able to perform kinematic and preliminary FE analyses. Successfully completed the JLR CAD user assessment.
Preferred Experience:
- Knowledge of chassis commodities and experience in packaging of them
- Use of TeamCentre. Knowledge of JLR systems and processes
- A relevant degree.
