Composite Design Engineer (Contract) - Norwich, Norfolk - Contract - Negotiable Competitive Hourly Rate
My client designs technology for different sectors including Automotive and Aerospace. They are looking to take on Composite Design Engineers, in the Norfolk area on a contract basis (3 - 4 months). This is a fast-paced environment and as such we are seeking applications from experienced professionals with the ability to hit the ground running.
The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree/HNC/HND qualified in Mechanical Engineering/Automotive Engineering/Motorsport Engineering
- Proficiency with using Catia v5
- Good communications skills
- Experienced working with composite design
- Have experience of working in/interest in the automotive/motorsport/car industry
- Be able to work well alone as well as part of an experienced team
The Design Engineer role will involve:
- Providing product development and design using Catia v5 CAD software
- Carrying out investigation and concept engineering work
- Working within the automotive/motorsport sector in an engineering environment
- Designing structural components and working with materials including composites, plastics and metals
- Working on time to project deadlines
- Working alongside other Design Engineers
- Being involved in a variety of projects with specific clients
