My client, a major Rail organisation, is looking for an Interim Structural Design Engineer to join their civil engineering team on an initial 6-month contract.
Over the last couple of years, my client has seen considerable growth across their Consultancy sector. They are looking for someone who has extensive experience in steel, concrete, and timber frame structure design within in a Rail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing structural designs on a variety of projects ranging from new Station builds, Platform Extensions and Steel gantries. There will also be some crossover with other work streams including team management of the graduate engineers.
Key skills:
- Technical design expertise working with Steel, Concrete and Timber Structures.
- Extensive experience working in the UK Rail Market.
- Experience in producing design, reports and calculations.
- Ensuring designs are compliant with NEC and Network Rail standards.
- Excellent communication skills dealing with internal team members and principal contractors
- Previous design experience on Station, Platforms and Gantry projects.
Essential:
- 5- 10 Years Rail design Experience
- Degree in Civil or Structural engineering (MEng or MSC)
