A Pro Eng Mechanical Design Engineer who has worked in UK defence environment within the last 12 months is required for an initial six month assignment based in Bolton
Our world-leading Complex Warheads Centre of Excellence has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The Design Engineer will be responsible for draughting designs in CAD, managing build structures, configuration management of parts lists, producing prototype designs. The successful candidate will report to the Design and Manufacturing Capability Lead and collaborate with Build Controllers, Purchasing and Central Engineering across several different projects. Use CREO and WindChill to produce and manage engineering and manufacturing drawings and datapacks. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aerospace and company standards and processes relating to Warhead design. Configuration management of Warhead subsystems. Work with supplier base to manage production concessions
