Mechanical Designer - 6 Month Contract

Contract Duration: 6 months
Rate: £30 per hour
Location: Clevedon
The RZ Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join a global engineering company on a 6 month contract basis. This role is required to support the delivery of field trial designs to meet the project plan.
Key duties will include:
- Prepare designs (3D models/drawings) for products for fit, form and function so that the product operates safely, reliably and effectively
- Generate detailed mechanical designs for electrical systems working from engineering specifications
- Creation of accurate Bills of Material
- Update of Piping and Instrumentation Diagram
- Ensure high quality designs and drawings are produced to the relevant international and industry standards
- Delivery of quality information to allow the creation of Manuals, Spares lists, Bills of Materials and any other input required by 'customers'
Skills & Experience Required:
- Minimum 5 years' experience creating mechanical designs for electrical systems is essential
- CATIA V6/3D Experience is essential
- Experience using a PDM software
- Proficiency in sheet metal design
- Understanding of system schematics
- Understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams
