This is a great opportunity for a CAD Technician to join a well-recognised engineering business, based in Nantgarw on a 6 month contract. The privately-owned business, specialise in the development of cutting edge technology for a range of industries.CAD Technician Responsibilities
Responsible for assessing Solidworks assemblies and ensuring all parts and assemblies are correctly constrained and aligned
Reporting any anomalies to the design lead and resolving identified design errors or anomalies
Creating .STP files of the final assembly version and importing to Autocad Inventor 2018
Creating individual Autocad Inventor component drawings in accordance with the Companies drawing numbering system.
Working with off shore contractors (dependent on workload constraints that impact project timelines)
Creating product sub-assemblies and their BOM's
Creating and Validating final product BOM's
CAD Technician Requirements:
Excellent Inventor experience
Experience in the modifications and updates of Legacy products
Able to identify part & model constraints
Able to hit the ground running immediately
Very good communication skills
HNC/HND or higher in a relevant discipline
