Description
The Interlocking Application Design Engineer position, reporting direct to Interlocking (IXL) Teamleader will as a responsibility have:Delivers software modules by ensuring detailed design and implementation of these modules.
Specific responsibilities of the role :
· Contributes to the elaboration of (IXL) interlocking specification & architecture, in collaboration with the IXL architect.
· Realizes development of (SW) Software of IXL modules .
• o Realizes the SW of IXL modules detailed design & coding.
o Sets up the IXL development tool chain.
o Prepares and performs SW of IXL module tests and verifications of his deliverables (“Designer” tests), prior to the ones formally realized by a dedicated V&V team (depending on Safety Integrity Level and associated Product development organization).
o Puts the IXL workproduct under configuration management according to product Configuration Management Plan.
o Supports the SW of IXL /HW and HW/ SW of IXL integration, together with the HW designer.
· Realizes sustaining of the IXL.
· Keeps informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch.
· Through his activities, contributes to TIS standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions.
· Keeps a strong link with the IXL architect, HW designer, RAMS and V&V departments, through the whole IXL design cycle.
· Applies processes and standards.
· Contributes to continuous improvement (ROE, process, …).
