Project Engineer - Contract
Remote with some travel to Wimborne, Dorset
£50 - £60 per hour (InsideIR35)
Responsibilities
Be responsible for engineering work packages and act as a primary focal for all technical matters.
Engage with the customers on a regular basis to ensure consensus on the technical approach, path to certification/clearance/acceptance and a well-established understanding on the delivery milestones and expectations
Work with other engineering functions, provide technical oversight, ensure they fully understand and deliver to the project schedule and quality requirements
Engage with the stakeholders (both internal and external) to identify project requirements, ensure compliance with agreed processes and achievement of project delivery objectives.
Review ground and flight test data to generate insights and a potential way-forward
Support failure investigations, generate, review, and approve change, conformance and failure documentation, maintaining perspective on the project and system requirements.
Desired Skills:
Good appreciation for Systems or Mechanical Engineering
Appreciation for reliability, maintainability, availability and sustainability of aerospace systems
Able to work with others and build trusted partnership
Able to communicate well and articulate technical solutions to customers and internal stakeholders Proactive and self-motivated individuals to drive the project by leading from the front
