Description
Mechanical Stress Engineer
This stress engineer role is based in Birmingham doing mostly static mechanical and thermal stress engineering for fuel spray nozzles. Use of Ansys and Mathcad are required for thermal and stress measurement. Standards worked to are Def/Mil/Aerospace and equivalent.
You will be working on large projects that will include stress and thermal qualification, certification and documentation.
Design package used at this company is Siemens NX, but it is not essential that you have this skill
Skills required
You must be able to test thermal and/or mechanical stress in a highly regulated environment using Ansys. Some knowledge of Hand calcs is required.
The role is for an initial term of 6months and due to the nature of the work you must hold or be eligible for UK SC clearance.
