This is not a one-time gig. You'll be an important part of a fast-growing, high-profile startup. This position is going to require close collaboration with our head of marketing, availability at set times each week, and strict adherence to deadlines.We publish three blog posts per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 10:30AM EST). Your job will be to create images to support our posts. Generally, these will be charts, graphs and screenshots (that need to be cleaned up to look nice).
To get an idea of what the images will look like, read through our blogs at http://groovehq.com/blog and http://www.groovehq.com/support. Look at the images within the posts, as well as the header art.
The power of images (www.copyblogger.com/powerful-images/) plays a big role in making our content more useful to our readers, and you'll help bring those images to life, keeping in mind our brand (visual style, colors, typography) and technical restrictions (image dimensions, small file size, etc...).
This is an ongoing project, though we'll take it week-by-week in the beginning as a trial. While it's a part-time project at the moment, this could definitely transition into a full-time role as we grow.
Currently, the process takes about 6-12 hours per week (total for all three posts), though that varies depending on how many images we need that week. Some weeks it's only 6-8 hours, and others it's 10-12, so flexibility helps.
