Description
A leading Transport company based in Central London are looking for a Senior Network Architect [SDH/DWDM] to provide architectural leadership on the specification, design, build and deployment into the production environment of SDH/DWDM technologies.Essential skills:
- Substantial experience in SDH/DWDM engineering or operations within a telecoms environment.
- Architect technical knowledge level of SDH/DWDM networks as well as an awareness of protection architectures and the different overlying service types such as IP/MPLS and Voice
- Delivery of carrier class SDH/DWDM network services; ideally with Alcatel, Ciena and Infinera.
- Significant experience in an infrastructure design.
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent in a technical subject.
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of Cramer and OSS within a telecoms environment.
- Knowledge of network design and operation supporting Rail or Critical National Infrastructure (CNI).
- Knowledge of optical management systems and optical planning tools.
- Good understanding of IP/Data technologies.
- Formal network certifications (CCNA/CCNIP/JNCIA).
- Project management certification (Prince).
