Senior Environmental Engineer
A Senior Environmental Engineer is required to work on a six month contract with the possibility of extension for our defence client based in Portsmouth.
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence business.
Overview of the Senior Environmental Engineer contract role
To undertake a defined range of environmental engineering activities to support the Head of Discipline and ChDesign Engineers, supplying advice and support to the project design engineers and other functions and/or to organise and co-ordinate aspects of environmental management and assessment activity ensuring defined objectives are achieved whilst continually maintaining quality and service requirements.
Key skills required for the Senior Environmental Engineer
- Possess in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental management techniques using a life cycle approach
- Has sufficient breadth of knowledge of environmental impacts and the sound judgement needed to be able make correct trade-off decisions
- Experienced in a multi-disciplined engineering environment.
- 5 Years' experience in environmental management
- Good working experiences in through life engineering issues
- Typically Degree qualified (not essential), likely to be in an environmental or related discipline
- Meet the requirements for registration as Associate
- Member of IEMA, working towards becoming a Chartered Environmentalist
The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester
