I am seeking a Controls Engineer for my client who is based in Stevenage, Herts. My client is a manufacturing service that specialises in precision custom components. They utilise their specialised machines & measurement equipment to provide production manufacturing for the automotive industry. Their primary discipline is precision machining and grinding of stainless steel components. This stable company is experiencing sector growth and is rapidly expanding their team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Customer and National specific electrical, pneumatic & safety standards.
Apply the above in electrical design of control cabinets for fully automatic and semi-automatic machines.
Design PLC programs (Siemens S7, WinCC, Rockwell) to suit the machines as required.
Design pneumatic schematics as used in gauges as required.
Assist with the commissioning, test, debug of machines prior to customer acceptance passoff.
Knowledge of gauging, quality methods and manufacturing processes.
Ideally have experience of working within the Gauging and/or Automotive Industry.
