STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATIONS - GLASGOW - UNTIL FEB 2017

Our Glasgow based client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Stakeholder Communications Consultant for a fixed term position through until February 2017.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and deliver the stakeholder communications strategy
  • Provide strategic support to the Head of Corporate Affairs to ensure the alignment of corporate communications activity and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide ongoing strategic communications guidance and support to senior management
  • Work with the Head of Corporate Affairs to develop and implement effective processes and procedures to align and integrate wider communications activity
  • Effectively forward plan and co-ordinate corporate and stakeholder communications campaigns across the organisation
  • Ensure corporate and stakeholder communications activity is used to inform the organisation wide strategic communications planner and helps shape and determine future strategic projects in stakeholder and corporate communications
  • Cultivate productive relationships with key individuals internally with the ability to influence communication related action
  • Contribute to the development of the wider audience specific PR & Media strategies and the Stakeholder Engagement Strategy
  • Communicate and promote the aims, values and progress of the Company;
  • Input strategically to a range of projects that require in-depth stakeholder and corporate communications
  • Deliver an excellent service to their customers within the organisation;
  • Effectively contribute to team briefings;
  • Take responsibility for their personal development and support all of the team to maximise their effectiveness through continuous improvement;
  • Share best practice and industry knowledge with the team
  • Continuously strive to improve corporate and stakeholder communications by seeking to effectively monitor and evaluate activity

Essential Skills

  • Qualified to degree level (SCQF 9) in a relevant discipline or able to demonstrate comparable work experience
  • Proven track record of delivering corporate communications activities within agreed timelines and to budget
  • Experience of helping to deliver effective change and business transformation communications to audiences internally and externally
  • Evidence of developing and building successful relationships at a senior level both within and outwith the business
  • Experience in project managing corporate communication projects of strategic importance to the business
  • Understanding of the importance of aligning internal, external and PR and media communications activity and how this relates to the organisation's strategy
  • Experience in project management and forward planning
  • Supplier and agency management experience
  • Event management experience
  • Well versed in Microsoft packages
  • Excellent time management skills
