Hardware Engineer Job SpecificationSalary: Up to £40,000 Position Summary:
The applicant should be self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced and busy R&D department.
The applicant should as a minimum be degree qualified or equivalent in electronics or a relevant subject, with a good general education. The applicant should be familiar with a wide range of analog and digital design and development techniques.Must have:
- Broad experience in analog and digital design at system, product and circuit level.
- OrCAD Schematic capture including high speed interface (NAND, QDR, DDR) techniques
- Microcontrollers / Embedded Systems: Atmel, STM32, bit, ARM Core.
- SPI, I2C, Ethernet, I2S, DAC, ADC, USB, UART, RS232, RS485.
- EMC and Signal Integrity: impedance matching, decoupling strategy, PCB layout and design debug.
- Strong CPLD or FPGA design experience using VHDL or Verilog
- Experience with firmware-hardware interface development and integration.
- DEGREE/HND in a relevant or closely related subject plus minimum 5 years in software development environment.
