Electrical Engineer (Pharma/Food) - 12 Month Contract - The Midlands - up to £40 per hourOptimus Search are working with a Facilities Management company in search of a contractor to join them as an Electrical Engineer for a 12m on-site contract, with some travelling required during the contract.
It is essential for applicants to have hands-on experience in either the pharmaceutical or food industries, as the client are asking for someone who is able to bring previous experience to the team and help them achieve the tasks required in a timely fashion.

Tasks
- Duties Lead various projects from an electrical service perspective and be part of a multi-discipline design team.
- Lighting & Emergency design using Dialux software platform Amtech calculations.
- Experience completing load flow spread sheets and analysis LV panel design and discrimination studies.
- Design Fire alarm systems; Earthing, Security systems, Cable containment.
- Specification writing ATEX assessments and design installations 11kV Medium-Voltage design.
- Power distribution and discrimination. Site surveys and dilapidation reports.
- Review submissions and installations for compliance with design intent and good engineering practice, being resident on a construction site as required for construction engineering assistance.
- Support the department in relation to running the departments day to day activities.
- Ensure that PM Groups quality systems/plans are being adhered to within the department.
- Support department engineers and CAD technicians both from a mentoring and project monitoring perspective.
Requirements
- A Batchelor's degree or higher diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
- Experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Food industries is necessary.
- Knowledge of clean room design.
- Experience working with Rialux and Dialux Lighting programs.
