Senior PR Executive - West London (Maternity Cover)
The Senior PR Executive will support the development and execution of PR activity to help manage and promote the reputation of the client, a major broadcaster based in West London
Key responsibilities:
- Media relations activity including pitching and setting up interviews/contributions for the client talent in national, digital, and industry press
- Acting in an advisory capacity on campaigns ie: women/diversity in media; Leader Debates, Stand Up Be Counted and the General Election; and helping the development and execution of PR plans
- Manage the client's speaking calendar and briefing documents to ensure consistent messaging
- Manage requests for the client in films and TV series
- Oversee the client's sponsorship programme
- Supporting the day-to-day press office function including, arranging stills photography, managing photo shoots, event and budget management
- Cultivating productive relationships with key media
The successful candidate must have a strong PR background preferably from within the Media sector, with an ability to proactively generate press coverage for priority campaigns and take the lead on issues management.
You must have the ability to remain calm and focussed under pressure and be a positive team player who is able to motivate and influence others.
Good writing and briefing skills will be essential, with the ability to forward plan and work confidently with management and talent.
We are looking for an individual with experience in stakeholder management who is able to work independently and remain self-motivated, as well as someone who demonstrates a genuine passion for news.
