CAD Engineer
Pay Rate: £24.07 per hour
Location: Gaydon
Contract Length: 12 months
Description:
The subframes team have ownership of some of the largest vehicle commodities. These components form parts of vehicle systems that are very influential in achievement of both vehicle driven characteristics and attribute achievement.
As a Frames team conceptual CAD Engineer you will be responsible for the generation of strategic CAD geometry in many different technologies (Aluminium and Steel) and will be responsible for achieving pre programme start concepts that meet first sight stiffness/DFM and attribute needs.
You will need to work closely with other engineering and manufacturing areas to achieve this.
Skills Required:
* Proficient in Catia V5
* To show a good working knowledge of supplier base interaction and DFM
* Be able to demonstrate Chassis system level knowledge
Experience Required:
* Proven experience in the design and development of Chassis Components
* The ability to understand and deal with the results from test and development testing including FE analysis
* Good presentation and communication skills
* Robust practical knowledge of engineering principles is essential
