Description

My client, an energy trading company besed in Feltham, requires a SAP Functional Analyst.

Contract Description

The team is seeking an experienced person in SAP FI to support the existing Finance team ( GL, Intercompany and Sub-Ledger Integration) on designing enhancements to the template arising from current deployment projects, and designing and delivering production enhancement tickets in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will have both financial process expertise and specific configuration skills in FI-CO.
Specific accountabilities of this post will include the following:
Understanding and analysing detailed business requirements in order to specify and prioritise changes to the financial template design, ensuring the impacts on the finance template are understood.
Designing and implementing changes to the template together with the Function in a timely manner.
Documenting changes to processes using configuration rationales, functional specifications and system-based prototypes, where required.
Influencing Finance users to harness financial template processes for their needs, ensuring template solutions meet the business requirements, while maintaining the functional integrity of the template and complying with legal requirements
Communicating, and facilitating discussion of design issues and solutions options with financial template stakeholders.
Tracking delivery of designs and highlighting issues and areas of concern.

Deliverables

The SAP GL Analyst will primarily work on enhancement tickets and will need to deliver the following:
Configuration rationales
Functional specifications (for required enhancements and interfaces)
Support to the SAP Build team (as required) to deliver in a timely manner
Testing

Experience & Knowledge

The successful candidate is likely to have at least 5 years' experience of global SAP implementations gained through multiple full project life cycle deployments. Previous BP experience would be an advantage.

The candidate further demonstrates expertise in the following:
Detailed process, functional and configuration knowledge of SAP FICO
Finance Subledger processes and integration to FICO
Requirements gathering, solution design and management of solution design approval with business subject matter experts
Writing configuration and functional specifications for complex enhancements
Monitoring and tracking deliverables
Showcasing and prototyping solutions
Additional experience in the following areas is desirable:
Oil industry experience (process & functional)
Interfacing to/from SAP ECC
BW and other reporting systems
Post-implementation support experience
Use of Solution Manager

Skills/Behaviours

The successful candidate should demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. The ability to be pro-active and work both independently and as part of a team is essential, as is the ability to analyse data and make conclusions/recommendations from it. The individual will be expected to plan their own work and meet deadlines.
