Description

I am currently working with a World leader in Biopharmaceuticals who are looking to bring on a Principal Equipment Engineer on a 9 month contract in May. The Principal Equipment Engineer will lead, develop and implement technical solutions for a variety of engineering capital projects. The position is a key role in the Process Development group and the candidate must manage and/or apply extensive technical expertise in the coordination of multiple, complex, non-routine projects involving the planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance and alteration of systems, facilities and/or processes. This position will also be required to apply advance and diverse engineering principles to more than one area of engineering (process, unit operations, equipment, devices and materials) in complex process characterization, optimization, scale up or manufacturing support projects.

Specific Tasks

- In depth knowledge of Primary and Secondary packaging systems and processes within a GMP regulated environment.

- Manufacturing equipment technology, material science, medical device and quality systems (change management) are desirable for the position.

- Work is guided by ABR PD Engineering group goals. Possess the ability to create and interpret statistical data through to plans, deliverables and recommendations.

- Experience in leading, planning, managing and communicating an overall project activity from assessment through to successful introduction of new equipment and technology.

- Experience of working with vendor equipment manufacturers. Demonstrated team motivation, leadership and technical troubleshooting skills.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Operational improvement mindset.

Minimum Requirements

- Candidate should have a Bachelor degree in Engineering, Masters is preferable.

- 5-7 years experience in the Bio/pharmaceutical industry including significant experience in new product and technology introduction.
