We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company to support their project in China.
Position Title: ITO Operation Director
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: May 2016

Responsibilities:

Lead project engagement with the Client supporting the front line bid team to develop the opportunity.

Engage and understand the client's business strategy and pain points.

Instill confidence in client regarding the ITO MS solution implementation.

Prepare and deliver high level customer (CXO, VP) communication; high level customer solution presentation.

Mentor and support the front line team to deliver a quality solution.

Play a key role in the overall planning, solution architecture and design from transition, operation and transformation.

Assist in the preparation of response documentation to RFI and RFP.

Maintain an up to date understanding of competitor landscape and offerings.

Contract negotiation and able to interpret contract risks.

Maintain up to date knowledge of the industry market and technology evolution.

Able to travel extensively at short notice for extended periods, globally as required (over 70%).
Qualifications/Skills Required:
-
15 years + experience; 5+ years in a senior management position working with one of the main IT Outsourcing Vendors managing Carrier business projects.

Outsourcing experience gained with a Telecommunications CSP or in a vendor community (IBM, HP, Accenture, Dimension Data, Wipro, Tata Consulting Services, etc.).

Operations Director, Operator IT Director, Outsourcing Director level or similar senior background IT practitioner from a Tier 1 Telecommunications provider or CSP, with a broad perspective of the industry and its challenges.

Familiar with all aspects of the IT life cycle.

Understand the Plan, Design, and Development, Build/SI, Test life cycle through to Service Operations; knowledge of the CT area is a distinct advantage.

Experience in effective business planning and transformation, translating technology into business needs.

Has extensive experience dealing with outsourcing from a client or vendor perspective.

Has extensive knowledge of the IT industry and associated leading edge solutions and strategies that can be applied to opportunities at business unit, country or international levels.

Is able to plan and conducts complex and strategic negotiations between customers/prospects and other parties.

Experience in ownership and management of multiple programs of work relating to business and Technology change.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, 2nd and 3rd languages an advantage.
