Senior Safety Case Engineer
Location: Didcot, Oxford
Working hours: Full Time, Monday - Thursday
Salary: £65 - £80 per hour dependent on experience
Contract Duration: Three Months
Your responsibilities will include;
- Maintaining the Site Reference Safety Case.
- Determining strategies for individual Safety Cases acting as Safety Case Officer, author or verifier where nominated.
- Write and/or verifying complex Safety Cases in accordance with Site procedures and company standards to support the delivery of projects within the Lifetime plan.
- Managing the production of complex safety cases.
- Preparing and amending operating instructions and procedures to implement the limits and conditions arising from Safety Cases.
- Advising and where appropriate train staff on implications of proposed submissions.
- Supporting the Safety Case Manager.
- Identifying and delivering safety case requirements as specified in the Lifetime plan.
- Monitoring and surveying site operations and conditions to ensure consistency with the site safety case.
- Assisting in the effective implementation of the modifications process.
- The successful candidate will possess;
- Knowledge of safety case processes and applications relevant to a nuclear decommissioning site.
- Safety case project and/or resource management experience.
- Understanding of engineering safety and the derivation of Safety Functional Requirements.
- Knowledge of hazard identification and analysis techniques.
- Understanding of Site Licence Conditions, Statutory and Mandatory Requirements.
- Environmental awareness.
