Description
BAE AI is looking for a hands on Test Manager to join the SAP Programme within the Centre of Excellence, which is responsible for delivering a wide variety of internal change projects. As a Test Lead/ Manager you will plan, estimate and schedule and coordinate test phases for a complex SAP ERP integration programme.
What you will be doing
As a Test Lead/Manager you will be expected to bring demonstrable experience of leading testing activities to AI:
- You will be expected to write or oversee the writing of detailed test procedures;
- You will develop test specifications and ensure there is clear traceability between the test procedures, test specifications and requirements;
- You will be expected to talk to the functional and technical architects and developers to find the necessary details in order that testing might be scoped and scripted as effectively as possible. You will also review test scripts produced by the project team or business;
- You will ensure that the tests are executed to an agreed timetable for User Acceptance Testing and Unit/System Testing;
- You will participate in reviews of requirements, system architecture and design documents;
- You will effectively communicate testing activities and findings and report against key metrics using either manual reports or test tool generated reports;
- You will plan, arrange and control meetings, workshops and relations with user staff during test planning and throughout subsequent testing activities;
- You will apply testing standards (e.g. defect management processes and test methods) in an intelligent and effective way and be able to tailor to suit specific project needs.
- You will produce a consistently high standard of documentation of both a technical and a descriptive nature;
- You will bring knowledge of a range of test tools (Solution Manager ChaRM) and best practice to support growth of the test capability, particularly within the SAP CoE;
- You will be able to apply a risk based testing approach to testing to ensure adequate coverage while balancing the timelines and other project constraints.

Essential:
- Test Management at all test levels (especially integration and user acceptance);
- Developing or assuring test specifications from baseline documentation;
- Developing Master Test Plans
- Defect Management
- Test metric reporting
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Full life cycle testing (test strategy/plan to archive);
- Management of risk in the test process.
- Managing and coordinating off-shore or off-site test resources
- SAP ERP
- Working to hard deadlines in a high pressure environment
