Social5 is a social media management company that specializes in the production and distribution of high-quality content for businesses in 300+ industries worldwide. Led by former newspaper and television journalists, Social5 is seeking freelance writers across the nation to keep up with recent growth.Social5 is looking to hire 4-6 writers in various capacities before June 30, 2016. A journalism background is preferred, but experienced bloggers and social media consultants are invited to apply. Preference will be given to writers who demonstrate experience in the industries listed below, as well as proficiency in WordPress and customer communication.
FREELANCE OPENINGS: Social5 is seeking qualified writers who demonstrate specialized knowledge or background in the following high-priority industries: finance, insurance, real estate. However, Social5 also values versatility among writers who can easily transition among general assignment topics. Compensation is listed below.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Writers will be expected to produce an engaging blend of social media content for customers. High performers will demonstrate knowledge of the industry, creative thinking and attention to social media principles of engagement. Unlike traditional marketing content, Social5 content is largely brand neutral, allowing for distribution to multiple customers in wire-service fashion. In addition to social media content, writers will be expected to produce a -word blog twice a month, plus an email message that may be distributed on our customers' behalf.
COMPENSATION: Social5 compensates writers based on the number of categories, or 'beats,' they choose to accept. High-performing writers will receive ongoing opportunities to increase their income and take on additional responsibilities. The base rate per category is $125 per month, which includes 14 Facebook posts, 8 tweets, 2 blogs and 1 email. Social5 draws from this freelance pool when recruiting full-time talent.
GROWTH OPPORTUNITY: Social5 continues to add hundreds of new accounts each month. Consequently, Social5 is looking for talented writers who could rise quickly into the role of editor in a part-time or full-time capacity. It is also looking for writers who have experience with SEO, social media advertising and analytics.
