SCADA Cable Engineer
The responsibility of the SCADA Communication Cable Engineer is to handle the communication package concerning:
- The physical installations of supplied SCADA panels and equipment.
- Supplied cables & patch cords.
- Interfaces, delivery, installation, test, commissioning and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Be the main technical resource on the cable/panel delivery.
- Responsible for all the design of the fibre and LAN cable infrastructure in the windfarm.
- Ensure the correct quality.
- Be transparent towards SCADA Manager regarding state of the network and radio delivery
Tasks:
- Support the SCADA manager when requirements are changing in the project.
- Handle communication with N&T contractor(s) for cable specific subjects.
- Create and maintain QA plan for cable delivery.
- Design the network panels build under the N&T contract
- Develop cable list for all fibre, LAN and Coax cables.
- Develop layout for communication panels.
- Develop fibre and LAN layout for the entire wind farm.
- Perform QA on fibre and LAN termination.
- Write technical related communications notes (CN).
- Manage cable interfaces with WTG, SCS, Substation and other stakeholders who might need cable infrastructure.
- Assist HV Cable department with fibre optic knowledge regarding array and export cables.
- Support the SCADA commissioning engineer during work performed at the Yard and onshore substation regarding QA and progress for the cable work.

- QA plan for cable delivery
- Input to installation plans
- Fibre design document
- LAN design document
- I/O list for SCS
Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of project experience required, and technical knowledge of fibre and LAN installations.
- A structured personality is required.
- Skills of a good project engineer (technical skilled, integrity, communication, adaptability, teamwork, decision-making and planning), Energy related IT tools and procedures
- Good communication and team-player skills.
