To manage the use of appropriate engineering standards in relation to design and construction, on all projects within the national programme and check whether they comply with legislation, Railway Group and Network Rail company standards
Role is part of the new org structure agreed to take Crossrail through to completion.
To manage the use of appropriate engineering standards in relation to design and construction, on all projects within the national programme and check whether they comply with legislation, Railway Group and Network Rail company standards. To monitor whether suitably qualified and experienced staff are employed to control engineering aspects of all projects within the functional discipline.
Candidate must be a time served and know way around the railway (ideally NWR background). The Civils Engineer must be able to deal with stations, small structures, a multitude of project engineering jobs, not a pure designer but needs to be able to interface with designers, maintenance and other stakeholders
