SAP FICO Consultant - South France - 3/4 Months

My client is looking for a SAP GTS Consultant for a maintenance project based in South of France.

The right candidate will have at least 8-10 years SAP GTS experience with at least 3 full implementation projects experience, doing blue print design, implementation, customization, configuration and post Go Live support, of all aspects of the SAP FICO modules, especially the following:

Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Accounting, Funds Management, General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger, Bank Interfaces.

Cost Element Accounting, Cost Controlling, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Activity-Based Costing, Product Cost Controlling, Profitability Analysis, Profit Center Accounting.

SAP Treasury & Risk Management, FSCM, Credit Management, IFRS, GAAP.

Knowledge in cross-module integration with PS, MM, PM, HR, Payroll, SD etc.

Experience in Supporting SAP based closing and consolidation processes in SAP in a Head quarter scenario and also experienced in consolidation using CO, COPA etc.

SAP Certification in the areas of FI/CO and Certifications in the Finance domain, Chartered Accountant certifications will be an added advantage.

Purpose of the Role:

Lead Finance track in a large SAP program with the objective of providing high quality and value added consulting solutions to the customer. Act as the primary point of contact with the Business, IT Group, Service Management and other suppliers for the Service operations and also ITSM based Service Transition.

Experience in setting up ITIL based large Support programs. Bring in best practices and advise customer in SAP Financial processes as regards closing, consolidation, month end, year and other activities. Facilitate and support Business Change decision-making processes, during the planning and implementation of Service Transitions. Experience in having worked in projects with extensive usage of service catalogs would be an added advantage.

Requirements:

Experience in having led large SAP ITIL based Support programs especially Finance centric SAP applications.

Comprehensive knowledge of SAP FI/CO, and good knowledge of one of the SAP modules (Sales and Distribution, Project Systems etc.)

Experience in Business Planning and Consolidation and Business Intelligence

Multiple full life cycle implementation experience with awareness of SAP implementation methodologies, frameworks and tools.

Strong knowledge in Industry standard best practices for the particular area of expertise and the ability to apply the same for providing best-in-class solutions to the clients.

Strong communication skills in French and English and ability to drive business requirements gathering workshops, conference room pilots and client discussions.

Good planning, organizing and people management skills.

Task:

Setting up large ITIL based SAP Support Projects.

Employs and leverages strategic ERP best practice solutions & communicate SAP capabilities/
possibilities within related modules.

Development and maintenance of best practice methodologies in Service Operations and Service Transition

Act as the primary point of contact with the Business, IT Group, Service Management and suppliers for the ITSM Toolset Service Transition

During the Transition process, ensure all operational service delivery, commercial and contractual, financial and information assurance, and security policies and procedures are adhered to, calling on the advice of experts in these areas.

Responsible for the creation and sign-off of robust Service Transition plans, associated cost models and appropriate stakeholder buy-in and sign off.

Design and oversee implementation of the Transition plan(s), taking into consideration all people, service, financial, commercial, IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new IT services or newly developed functionalities into the "Business As Usual" environment

Assess risks inherent in proposed Transitions, to ensure any potential scheduling and performance issues have minimum impact on provision of other IT services.

Strong business acumen to facilitate group discussions, present in front of an audience and/or group, and ability to articulate thoughts in a methodical and constructive manner.

Problem Definition:

Lead business discussions with the clients, drive requirements gathering workshops/Conference Room Pilots/fit-gap analysis to define and document the business problems. Lead a team of consultants to perform discovery/as-is assessments, resolve complex requirements. Prepare/review process documents, fit-gap analysis documents, requirements documents etc.

Solution Evaluation and Recommendation:

Lead a team of consultants to define solutions for the business problems in the context of SAP, propose process improvements and alternate solutions and get client approval for the proposed solution, prepare high level design/blueprint/detailed design documents and review deliverables from the team.

Customization and Configuration:

Review and Guide and lead the team in customizing and configuring SAP in line with the design, co-ordinate with different teams to manage cross-module dependencies, plan the implementation within project schedule and get user sign off for final solution.

Validation:

Prepares/reviews high level test plans, test cases and test reports to meet the strategic test objectives of the program. Works with the team and client representatives to perform exhaustive test validation of the solution in line with the test plans and ensures that the delivered solution is of high quality.

Training and Change Management:

Prepares/reviews training documentation in line with the project requirements and customer expectations, work with the clients to manage the organizational changes using different mechanisms such as communication meetings, roadshows, key user trainings etc.

Project Management:

Take responsibility for end-to-end solution delivery for their respective tracks. Lead small to medium sized projects completely and deliver end-to-end solution to the clients.
