SAP Release Manager - English Speaking - Lisbon, Portugal. Start: 5th September Month+ Contract.
Our end client in Lisbon, Portugal, is looking for an SAP Release Manager.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage all aspects of the end to end release process including the delivery of US Release Notes
* In close coordination with US and EU stakeholders, plan US releases (calendars, content, frozen periods)
* Execute emergency processes for deliveries into production with a high level of priority
* Organize functional reviews and approvals of each releases content
* Guarantee the updates and maintenance of release management documentation
* Inform the Service & Release Managers of risks and issues that may impact the release schedule or quality, and provide management reports on release progress
* Comply with the client's Internal Financial Controls ensuring the Quality of the delivery
* Facilitate US topic on the fortnightly Change Board making sure that consumptions risks are controlled and highlighted
* Participate on the weekly Build Committees making sure BAU and Project team are aligned and dependencies and risks are identified, focusing on US-EU dependencies
* Contribute to the RM FLYER operational maintenance activities plan for the different applications in scope and all the landscape environments (US and EU)
* Evaluate dependencies between ongoing and planned changes in term of timings and scope.
* Share Release Management information with relevant US stakeholders and feed global RM calendar with US topics.
PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
Mandatory:
* Understanding of SAP ECC/BW/BO framework and transport management (minimum 5 years)
* Reporting: ability to prepare a Management presentation for the scope of activity
* Ability to coordinate teams, lead meetings, assign and follow tasks to be performed
* Experience in complex cross-system environments
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to take ownership of problems and issues and manage to resolution
* Ability to work effectively with different countries and nationalities
Nice to have:
* Project management skills
* Testing ability: to set-up Testing practices and identify improvement actions
* Understanding Accounting principles
