FMSS Technical Work Stream Manager

Our client requires a qualified and experienced individual to lead and manage the Technical Work Stream of their Financial Management Shared Services (FMSS) project.

This is a long term contract located in Dublin city centre, Ireland

Responsibilities of the successful candidate:

Technical Leadership

  • Draft and execute the technical work stream plan for the FMSS programme.
  • Engage with the Project Team and the Stakeholder community
  • Actively monitor and manage risks and issues associated with the technical implementation.
  • Lead and mentor the technical team, providing direction and advice on all technical aspects.
  • Oversee the provision and testing of appropriate technical infrastructure to support the FMSSC operational strategy. Ensure final operating model of FMSSC is technically fit for purpose.
  • Lead and manage the implementation of the BI/Data Warehouse strategy.

Manage the Systems Integrator (SI)

  • Manage the partnership with the SI to ensure the successful development of the financial system in line with the agreed project plan. Ensure strong vendor performance throughout the engagement.
  • Perform the role of Project Design Authority, agreeing acceptance criteria and signing off deliverables from the SI.
  • Act as technical interface between SI and the project team and stakeholders.
  • Perform key interface role through the build, test and acceptance phases, ensuring SI has delivered to agreed specification.
  • Support deployment, stabilisation and optimisation phases - performance monitoring etc.

Managed Service

  • Lead the set-up of the FMSS owned portion of the managed service (Level 1/Level 2).
  • Lead the integration of the Managed Service with the SI to provide seamless service to FMSSC clients.

Data Migration/Legacy Data

  • Document the data migration strategy and approach for the FMSS project.
  • Work with Public Sector Bodies to advise on data extraction and cleansing.
  • Liaise between PSBs and the SI to ensure data is extracted and cleansed appropriately by each PSB to meet the requirements of the SI on migration.

Requirements

  • Strong Technical Background with comprehensive understanding of IT technical concepts.
  • Proven track record in the delivery of IT enabled change, in complex multi-phase projects.
  • Demonstrated experience of project delivery through a third party vendor.
  • Previous experience of Oracle implementations.
  • Demonstrated experience in data migration/Legacy data implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing implementations in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Broad experience in infrastructure technologies
  • Solution design experience.
  • Financial/Accounting background an advantage.
  • Knowledge of shared service environments an advantage.
