Description
Corporate Communications Officer with good social media experience required for 6 month contract with public sector client in Edinburgh.
Duties will include:
- To create lively, stimulating content for the internal staff news site, across a range of topics, edit contributions from staff as required and produce analytics on a monthly basis
- To lead on our social media strategy, engaging with our stakeholders on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, developing campaigns, planning and scheduling content, monitoring our newsfeeds, posting content, responding to messages and producing analytics on a quarterly basis
- To support production of our monthly external stakeholder publication with content and ideas for articles
- To support proactive media work through writing of case studies, news releases as well as reactive media work by handling media enquiries in the absence of Corporate Communications Manager and Head of Communications
- To participate in or deliver one-off projects, providing communications advice, expertise and services as briefed by the Head of Corporate Communications or Corporate Communications Manager
- To provide a high level of support to directorate colleagues and key partners to produce communications plans in support of educational products or services for health and social care workforce
- The post holder will carry out duties deemed reasonable to their role
Experience required:
- Comprehensive knowledge of social media and engaging with stakeholders online as well as a good understanding of marketing and campaign planning.
- Practical knowledge and appreciation of writing for a range of different audiences across various media.
- Demonstrable experience of providing high level communications support to senior management
- Experience of copy writing for online audiences
