Our public sector client has an exciting opportunity to join their fast growing environment which is under transformation and modernisation for an Events and Marketing Manager based in Edinburgh for 3 months. This is a great forward thinking culture with an ever evolving environment as they want to remain a state of the art in processes and technology. This means they will provide you with excellent exposure to a multitude of processes and ways of working you wouldn't see in many other organisations in Scotland such as Agile working in a Communications team making experience here highly desirable on a CV.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Events and Marketing Manager to manage various major communication campaigns and organise elements of celebration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for liaising with organisers, organising and attending third party events and managing engagement strategies.
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience of planning and effectively delivering small, medium and large scale events
- Educated to degree level within relevant field of events, marketing or communications and/or have relevant experience and proven track record within a communication, engagement, events or marketing environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills - able to liaise with senior internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in developing event plans and briefs that meet needs of communications and engagement activities
- Excellent planning skills and the ability to deliver to tight deadlines
- Good working knowledge of marketing techniques
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working closely with digital communications teams to support development of long term social media content calendar
