NES Global Talent's noteworthy client in Manchester is urgently seeking a Graphic Designer/Creative Artworker to join their team whilst they go through a busy period of work. The role will be to start ASAP and will be paid at an hourly rate of £14.54.

Purpose To consistently produce print ready digital artwork in conjunction with the Graphic Designers and under the guidance of the Creative Director in line with the overall strategy for creative direction. To meet the communication needs of clients, using a mix of creative skills. To ensure that all work produced is of a highly professional standard both in terms of layout, visual appearance, quality and correctness and that this output meets the requirements of the customers
Main duties and responsibilities

To produce print ready accurate digital artwork from client briefs on time and on budget being at all times commercially aware of the amount of time needed for completing the task.

To be responsible for developing a graphic designer's layout options into artwork that is ready for pre-press, print or online.

Liaising closely with the Systems & Events Manager to ensure that file management standards are maintained, and the storage of all brand and project related assets are structured, current and secure.

To be responsible for managing own workload and communicating any production problems or issues promptly.

To use your expert knowledge of print production, reprographic and imaging processes and equipment to interpret and define a creative or artwork brief.

To art direct photographers and illustrators and source images from commercial libraries suitable for design projects.

To produce work that meets the creative standards as defined by the Creative Director.

To understand the company 'voice' to ensure that all work conforms to brand guidelines and to contribute towards the identity and brand/image.

To be responsible for overseeing the production of digital artwork by Trainee Artworkers and freelancers, being responsible for the successful delivery of such work to customers brief.

To use various software packages to produce artwork for conventional and digital media.

To meet with customers and/or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job and help to develop design briefs by gathering information and data through meetings and own research.

To offer advice and help on individual projects, and identify any potential problems/issues.

To assist customers and account managers in completing job specifications, making recommendations on different sizes, styles, colours and stocks etc.

To be aware of short deadlines imposed by customers and to recognise and implement the appropriate action required.

To work as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account handlers, web developers and marketing specialists.

To treat in confidence information provided by Service customers for design, printing etc.

To complete all necessary paperwork/computer records in connection with the creative teams business.

To carry out all duties in accordance the city council's values, standards and diversity policies.

Support the team in promoting equal opportunities in the workplace and delivering services, which are accessible and appropriate to the diverse needs of service users.

Any other relevant or appropriate duties commensurate with the post, as and when requested by the management team.
