Multilingual Accounts Payable - French/Dutch
Operating under minimal supervision, the Senior Accounting Specialist (AP) is responsible for carrying out accounting and paperwork tasks related to the actual efficient maintenance as well as processing of company accounts payable transactions. This position will report to the Manager General Accounting.
JOB DUTIES
* Input invoices into SAP sub ledger for all Shared Service Centre entities.
* Contacts budget holders in order to get approval for invoices.
* Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
* Corresponds with vendors/employees and responds to inquiries.
* Prepares payment runs for Invoices and Expenses and checks all invoices/claims have appropriate approvals.
* Audit of expenses completed in payment run process to ensure correct payments are made and all receipts are received for HMRC purposes.
* Complete new vendor forms to set up and also amend accounts payable vendors on SAP.
Ensure that all tasks and responsibilities are completed in line with the Close Calendar.
* Ensure that all processes are compliant with SOX.
* Deal with Accounts Payable queries as they arise in a timely manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education/Professional Qualifications Required
* Minimum of A-Levels or equivalent required. Degree preferred.
Experience Required
* Demonstrable experience working with Accounts Payable.
Skills and Knowledge Required
* Be able to speak French & Dutch.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel).
* Experience with SAP.
* Familiarity with accounting terminology and procedures.
* Excellent data review and processing skills.
* Detail oriented.
* Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and speech.
* Must have good organizational skills.
* Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre.
